Gunnar Kristiansen, Mindekirken Pastor
Sara Pajunen is a violinist, composer and sound artist. Born and based in Northern Minnesota (USA), Pajunen's work is motivated by the interaction between a deep connection to her ancestral roots and her experience of current American culture.
Eeva Savolainen, soprano,
holds a master’s degree in Music education and Vocal Performance from Sibelius Academy in Finland. She immigrated to United States in 1995 and has been living in Twin Cities since 1996.A professional singer, she has performed all over the country as a recitalist and with Saana Ensemble, a Finnish women ensemble.
Live Festival Worship at Mindekirken led by Pastor Kristiansen and featuring the procession of Nordic flags, greetings from Honorary Consul of Finland Elaine M. Kumpula, Finnish music, and the sermon by Pastor Mark A. Granquist. After the service, worshippers will gather outside (weather permitting) for coffee and Icelandic vinarterta (cake) during Kirkekaffe.
